Summer Travel: Julie Rice's Guide to New York City June 27 2015, 0 Comments
Heading to New York City this summer? Julie Rice, Co-Founder and Co-CEO of SoulCycle, has spun together her short list of must-dos in the city that never sleeps. From tasty eats to theatrical treats, be sure to include these hot spots on your itinerary.
"My husband and I took our girls to Fire Island one summer. We spent a beautiful day in the sunshine and sand. As the day drew to a close, we sat close together and watched the sunset. It is surely one of my most treasured summer memories."
Located on the Upper West Side, this spot serves some of the tastiest food and has a great wine list to boot. We love the Pac Man dumplings.
I love to schedule morning dates with my husband. We get a sitter on Saturday mornings and take a class together. After class, we relax and sip on green juice.
Biking on the West Side Highway
I like to ride with my older daughter Phoebe along the Hudson. It's something to feel the summer sun and cool breeze as we pedal along. Our playlists MUST include Taylor Swift and Katy Perry!
I am a Broadway fanatic and I love to take my daughters to the theatre. My favorites this season are the Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime and Fun Home.
40 Carrots Restarurant
We love the frozen yogurt at 40 Carrots, tucked inside the Bloomingdales at 59th and Lex. My must-have toppings? Chocolate sprinkles and melba sauce. Yum!
